Sensation Celebration 2012: Use Your Senses One Step at a Time
A nonprofit fundraiser supporting
STAR Institutewalking to raise awareness about SPD
$45
raised by 2 people
$200 goal
As many of you know, our daughter Caitlyn is receiving therapy for a disorder called Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD).
On October 20th, I am walking around Lake Mirror to raise funds for an amazing organization, which is working hard to make a huge difference in the lives of so many children, including my own - The SPD Foundation. By walking, I hope to raise awareness about sensory processing disorder (SPD) and the effect it can have on children and their families.
I hope that you will consider making a donation to this worthwhile cause. While my primary goal is to raise funding for the SPD Foundation, I recognize that everyone has different charities that they support. So, equally important, I also hope to simply make more people aware of SPD, because, right now, not enough people know about it or understand it. This leads to misdiagnosis and misunderstanding - and, worst of all, incorrect or lack of treatment. Please feel free to forward this website to others and if you would like more information about SPD visit http://www.spdfoundation.net/ .
Thank you in advance for your support and have a blessed day.
P.S. If anyone would like to participate in walking with me or in raising funds for the SPD Foundation, just let me know.
