"Preserving Colorado's Home - Promoting Colorado's History - For Colorado's People
The mission of the Governor's Residence Preservation Fund is to preserve the historic Governor's Residence at the Boettcher Mansion and bring it into full use and enjoyment for Colorado residents. Education Programs, public programs and events are statewide, inclusive and non-partisan.
ABOUT ELEMENTARY EDUCATION
"This is one of the best field trips available to our fourth graders that I have experienced. I look forward to visiting next year."
"Our fourth grade team is already making this field trip a 'must go back every year' field trip"
"The content of the Governor's Residence Elementary Education Program exceeded my expectations. This program helps students understand the path to Colorado statehood in a way we can't teach in our classrooms. Our fourth grade team is already making this field trip a 'must go back every year' field trip."
ABOUT COMMUNITY EVENTS
"I felt welcomed and proud of our Colorado State house. It was great having unprecedented access and our docents were knowledgeable historians/story tellers."
The mission of the Governor's Residence Preservation Fund is to preserve the historic Governor's Residence at the Boettcher Mansion and bring it into full use and enjoyment for Colorado residents. Education Programs, public programs and events are statewide, inclusive and non-partisan.
The Governor's Residence at the Boettcher Mansion was built in 1908. In 1959 the Boettcher Foundation donated the residence to the State of Colorado. Since 1960, this stately Colonial Revival mansion has served as home to Colorado's sitting Governor and First Family.
The Governor's Residence Preservation Fund (GRPFund) was founded in 2008 to preserve the historic Governor's Residence at the Boettcher Mansion, to create meaningful activities for all Coloradans, and to leave a legacy for the generations to come.
The GRPFund is a Colorado not-for-profit corporation whose mission is to preserve the Residence in perpetuity and to provide educational and cultural programs from the Residence that are statewide, inclusive, and nonpartisan.
