Testimonials

I'm thrilled with this program. I live in the mountains (Pine Brook) and have to lug my bike to town if I want to ride, and some back problems have prevented me from doing that in the past few years. Now I can ride! The bikes are comfortable and so easy to maneuver. I hope you plan on adding more stations.

I love them. I ride them to all the meetings I go to. Today I'm getting one and riding down to 11th and Pearl and then I'm meeting someone at the Tea House. You know, I can just dock it and walk home or take it back to the station. If I have a little time, I ride up the Boulder Creek Trail to see the creek. It's just kind of relaxing.

I've got my annual pass. It keeps track of all of my miles. I've ridden like 200 miles already! And then it shows you on the little app on your smart phone or on your computer where all the docking stations are and if there are available bikes or available docks. I didn't drive for 6 days last week. I even went over to Liquor Mart and bought liquor for my dinner party and carried it home in this big sturdy basket!

I think that the B-cycle program is amazing. I work downtown here and I work for First Western Trust, who happened to pony up the membership for an annual membership, as a lot of businesses in town did. And I've been doing volunteer things with them as well, kind of ride around at events. But I've been using it to ride all around town whether it's for lunch or for client visits, so it's been great. I bike with my normal bike into the city like I normally do, but I've been using it a lot through the middle of the day. I leave my other bike at work and use these throughout the day for errands or lunch or whatever I do.

I think it's a fantastic concept, actually. Alternative transportation is something I've studied for a while and have been a big supporter of bicycle transportation in Boulder for many years. I'm really happy to see the program finally put into place. I got a chance to use it for myself for the very first time last week and it was simple, straightforward. The bike was comfortable. I had a smile on my face while I was doing errands. It felt a little bit silly, but in a great way. It ended up being the highlight of my day, actually, to run around on the B-bikes.

Thanks for the great ride and the even better customer service!

It's already hard to imagine a Boulder without B Cycles. The red bikes just seem to fit here. The first thing you notice when you become a member is how easy it is to use the system. Just wave your card next to the bike you want and you're cruising. I use B Cycles when I need to get somewhere that's a little far for walking and a little close for driving. Whether it's to meet a friend for lunch at Mountain Sun, or to get to a business meeting at Google on East Pearl, B Cycles feel like a very Boulder thing to do in Boulder. Visitors to Boulder agree. My wife and I and our little kids spent a recent summer day with my parents, riding B-Cycles along Boulder Creek. We checked out the inner tubers at Eben G. Fine Park and climbed on the space-themed playground at Scott Carpenter Park. Now my folks want to start a bike sharing program in their hometown of Asheville, NC. With their grandchildren and B Cycles as draws, they might just move here instead.

I love the big baskets - use them all the time. Lately I've been riding B-cycle to UCAR Foothills campus for yoga class and my map and change of clothes fit great in the basket.

I thought you'd get a kick out of an "aha" moment I had for using the B-cycle system recently. On Memorial Day, I did the Boulder Bolder with my husband and brother-in-law and, beforehand, we were trying to figure out how to work transportation so we could get the start of the race on time, spend some time downtown after the race, and make it back home most efficiently. We realized that we could leave the car in north Boulder, walk to the race start, enjoy the day, then all ride B-cycles from Pearl Street to the Foothills campus to get back. It was great! And, my brother-in-law got his first taste of bike sharing while we were at it.

I used the system every single day to commute to a two-month summer 2012 sustainability internship at UCAR working to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The system was my only form of transportation while he worked in Boulder, and that it was convenient because there were stations near the grocery store where I shopped, as well near the library.
