YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region

Mission

To put Christian principles into practice through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind and body for all.

What's New

The YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region has started work on a new Dining Hall at Camp Shady Brook! We anticipate having this completed for the campers of Summer 2010. If you would like to be part of this exciting project, there are many capital giving opportunities available, including naming opportunities throughout Camp. For more information, please contact Carrie Bair at 719-329-7217.

The YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region has also just started a new Foundation. The new website will be available on our current website (www.ppymca.org) under Ways to Give, Planned Giving. This will walk you through various planned giving opportunities that best fit your family. If you are interested in leaving a family legacy and ensuring YMCA programs are around for generations to come we would love to have you join our Summit Society, a group on individuals who have left the YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region in their will, life insurance policy, made an outright gift to the Foundation of $5000 or greater or a variety of other gifts specifically to our Foundation. Contact Carrie at 719-329-7217 for more information.

Needs Statement

For more than 130 years, the YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region has been addressing challenges in our local community. These challenges have changed over time, and the YMCA has continually provided innovative responses. Today, a new set of issues is calling the YMCA to act. Our nation's lifestyle choices are contributing to increased rates of disease and reduced quality of life. Families are finding it difficult to balance their work, family and civic life. Youth, regardless of family income, are not receiving the support they need to develop positive skills and values that can guide them through their life.

Individuals, small business and corporations have the opportunity to support the YMCA in meeting these challenges. All donations are tax deductible and help us provide financial assistance to families in need. Through donations we are building strong kids, strong families and strong communities.
