Short term success for this program will be the successful formalization of the organization with adequate funding to deliver services for Tax Year 2009. Technology is in place to serve the entire state.
In Colorado, their are hundreds of millions of dollars of unclaimed Earned Income Tax Credits (currently over 25% of eligible participants fail to claim) and people paying unnecessary fees for tax preparation. There is also a large population who lack strong financial education. The long term success of this program would be to have Colorado's participation rate in EITC to <95%, to have sites in each county in the state and to have financial education materials and resources in use at each site.
Progress is monitored through gathering of MOU' and Letters of Support for the organization. We solicit feedback from current and potential coalition members.
A continuous stream of support fromo organizations that see our efforts as beneficial and who are willing to support us in our endeavors would be the biggest sign of success. Next would be in our services- growing EITC particpation rates at 10%/year. Finally would be teh development of sites in each county.

In the short term, we will offer classes on EITC, Microbusiness and etiquette. Increasing particpation rate by 10% in EITC and getting 5 people to participate in our microbusiness program would be outstandingly successful. Building an awareness in the disability community of our services would also prove significantly beneficial.
Long term success will be determined by tracking individuals who utilize the education and services provided by CDEI. We would like to see our participants receiving their maximum benefits and earning their maximum pay. And for those who can, we would like for them to become self sufficient.
Yearly numbers of EITC applicants
Number of particpants in other offered services
Successful development of microbusiness
This program is very early in its conception. Many of the classes have been scheduled and we will review particpation upon completion.
