1 - Received a contract with Jefferson County Human Services to distribute homeless prevention dollars to help TANF eligible families with Rent and Utility Assistance.
2 - Had 52 clients enrolled at Red Rocks Community College through our partnership
3 - Distributed over 52,000 five-day supplies of food to Jefferson County residents.

1 - To serve over 25,000 Jefferson County residents.
2 - To have a balanced budget.
3 - To distribute Christmas toys to over 3000 Jefferson County children.
The top 5 pressing needs of the organization
1 - Space. In 2003 we were serving 85 families a day. In 2009 we are serving 150 families a day.
2 - More volunteers to help meet the needs of providing additional services services.Last year we were getting help from 50 volunteers a day, this year the need is 80 volunteers a day.
3 - Solvency. The Action Center continues to work on making the organization more solvent in case of a a catastrophe.

The Jeffco Action Center was founded in 1968 to provide basic human services to residents of Jefferson County on an immediate basis and in a non-judgmental environment. The private, non-profit agency continues to serve as the entry point for basic needs, stabilizing the family or individual through a continuum of emergency services to achieve self-sufficiency.
Jeffco Action Center is a haven of hope for thousands in the Jefferson County community who face crisis circumstances and need support to become or remain self sufficient. The center is dedicated to find proactive and collaborative ways to provide assistance via our emergency services or self sufficiency programs. Our community can only benefit if those facing trying times can claim productive lives.
Jeffco Action Center provides a critical need to the residents of Jefferson County, Colorado. We are on the front lines of a battle that keeps the poor and working poor from becoming homeless. We are also the primary agency in Jefferson County that is providing services to the working homeless. We are providing the basic services that individuals and families need to survive. We are also providing services that individuals need to more to a level of self-sufficiency.
